Light weight and Easy to Launch Anywhere
Intensive testing resulted in a well-balanced glider with simple take-off characteristics and easy behaviour during extreme manoeuvres. It is easy to launch the Marvel both reverse or forward. It comes up smooth and predictable. This glider is light weighing just 5.48 kg for the medium size. This weight in the EN C category with 75 cells is exceptional.
Shaped to Perfection
The smooth shape of the airfoil nose is maintained by reinforced Mylar combined with plastic rods. The result is a sporty silhouette with an elliptical form. It features thin risers and has a high aspect ratio of 6.48. This makes the Marvel competitive with the EN D category but with EN C safety. A carefully selected airfoils gives to the wing not only excellent performance but helps to achieve neutral behaviour in turbulence. The top lines made from thin unsheathed Aramid competition lines to achieve best glide. Bottom lines are sheathed Edelrid Kevlar lines. Of course the risers have split “A” straps to facilitate Big Ears. The positioning of the outermost “A” line makes progressive closure easy. Opening is smooth and predictable and can be assisted by brake input.

The unique bunching system on the trailing edge gives precise handling with outstanding climbing performance. It can turn flat without the tendency to lose too much altitude. The moderate brake pressure allows pleasant turns and the pressure increases progressively toward the end of brake travel to you a safety margin before the stall point. The Marvel is equipped with brake handles with a swivel and magnetic clips. Velcro closures on the wingtips make access easier to remove any sand, grass or small stones from the glider.
